The Board comprises nine directors and meets on the second Thursday of each month at the North Platte NRD Conference Room (unless stated otherwise).  

Directors serve four-year terms, with half of the Board seats up for election every two years.  Two directors are elected from each sub-district, and one director is elected at large.  Board members must be a resident of their sub-district.  A primary election is only held in a sub-district if there are more than two candidates.  

A Board Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer are elected annually by the Board from among the Directors.
